This week on The Free Cheese, it’s cold again. Joe, Marc, and Ben are here to lament growing older and talk about Buckethead (obviously). Marc recently picked up a PlayStation VR and survived his night inside Resident Evil 7. He’s learned how to say, “Hello, Neighbor,” and has no nose troubles with VR. Joe had hidden his game by mom and discovers the charm of developer hap Inc. games, while struggling to find a strong impact in Horizon: Zero Dawn. Ben remembers what it’s like to play Counterstrike and what it’s like to have really cool people to play it with. Then, he falls in love with Stories Untold Episode 3 in a whole new way.

We talk about what it’s like to publish physical games as a small publisher, creating modern arcade machines, how to buy a video game developer with the money from closing another, and which games might be coming to Nintendo Switch next year.

Finally, we of course talk about the four turtles in the room. The ones that just dropped into our favorite superhero fighting game.
