Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Switch. The console will debut in March 2017.

In the video above, we can see that the new platform is both a home console and a portable device. Nintendo Switch can be played in a variety of ways, it appears. The trailer alone shows a pro controller and smaller controllers that attach to the sides of a portable display. These controllers can be used during solo play as either side of the controller, or as two separate controllers for multiplayer.

From what it seems like, the console will feature entries in the Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Mario franchises in addition to the already announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo has also announced a list of third party developers who will support the platform, and we can see both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and NBA 2K17 being played in the trailer.

There will surely be a lot more coming out as the day continues and we will absolutely be recording a brand new episode of The Free Cheese Podcast later this evening. Let us know what you think about the console below!
