Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have debuted the first gameplay footage for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. The video, which you can see below, does show all gameplay footage but it’s presented cinematically and not like a traditional gameplay presentation. The trailer, “Evening the Odds” presents Scarecrow returning to Gotham City to gather Batman’s greatest villains for the ultimate showdown. The citizens of Gotham flee the city and Batman utilizes his Batmobile to take down the looming threats. The titular villain, the Arkham Knight, is shown in the video with Batman in quite the compromising situation.

Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled for release this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC; it completes the trilogy in the Arkham series by Rocksteady Studios. Batman is voiced by the longtime voice for the character, Kevin Conroy. You can see some new images below and expect more information as we get closer to E3 in a couple of weeks.
